Wilder Foods Inc. was founded by Robert (Rob) D. Wilder, President & CEO and Ann D. Wilder the former President and Founder of Vann's Spices, Ltd. after selling their interest in the previous company to a group of investors. Rob and Ann are no longer associated with Vann's Spices. Together with over 50 years of experience in the spice industry these two individuals have a vast knowledge of procurement, importing, processing, packaging, formulation, product development and marketing of spices and seasoning blends. The company distributes their unique high quality products to the retail, food service and industrial spice markets in the contiguous 48 US States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Europe. Ann Wilder is active on a day to day basis at Wilder Foods.
Robert Wilder says " I was practically born with the taste of tandoori chicken in my mouth" his mother, Ann Wilder has been highly published as one of the spice industry's most recognized experts and industry consultants. After an education at Washington College, Rob found his own passion for the spice business and has been in the industry for over 25 years. Rob is active on a day to basis in the operations of Wilder Foods. He personally oversees all purchasing, shipping and receiving, production, product development, packaging and quality control. He is actively involved in the sales and marketing at Wilder Foods as well. Rob has traveled extensively and developed long term relationships with spice growers and importers from around the globe. Rob says "These relationships guarantee consistency of availability, supply and quality!" Our products are simply the best available. "We start with the best raw material, but it at the right price, process them correctly and package them ourselves." Rob and his wife have three children and live in Baltimore, Maryland.
